Mrs. Erin's Tutoring was born from a question the Lord placed on my heart while I was reading Proverbs 31:

"What am I already doing for my family that can be used to bless others?"

As a homeschooling mother of three energetic boys—two of whom have dyslexia—I quickly realized that if I was going to teach my children to read, I first needed to understand how they learn. That journey led me to discover effective, evidence-based methods for teaching reading and gave me a passion for helping children who struggle.

In 2023, I opened a small tutoring center in Amador County, California, with the mission of helping children become confident, capable readers. To better serve students with dyslexia and other reading challenges, I became a Certified Dyslexia Tutor in 2025. Today, I am committed to providing individualized instruction that equips children with the skills and confidence they need to succeed while encouraging parents to recognize and build on their child's unique strengths.

It is a privilege to walk alongside families as they experience the joy that comes when reading begins to click. I believe every child can learn when they are taught in the way they learn best. Above all, I am grateful for God's faithfulness in allowing what began as a calling to serve my own family to become an opportunity to serve others.
